No, many of our low-pressure gas mixers are suitable for use at pressures around 15 bar or less. This allows installers to add a safety relief valve at that pressure to their supply system. The selection of the 15 bar pressure relates to most applications using pressures around 4 to 8 bar. It also allows some extra pressure on top to produce the flow of actual mixed gas required.
We prefer to quote peak flows of actual mixed gas, taking into account the application pressures. This is more relevant and allows the end user to quickly identify the suitability of the BSL mixer more honestly.
Additionally, we have a 40 bar range of gas mixers, where a safety relief valve might be included up to that pressure and the mixer supplies around 30 bar for the process. Normally, the 30 bar systems are required for applications like metal cutting and laser cutting, for example.
