The main feature of these valves is their effectiveness in setting and controlling the flow of gas, especially when the downstream pressure changes, for example when filling a buffer tank. The FCV controls the flow as the pressure changes, allowing the gas to maintain its pressure and flow consistently. One of the most common applications is generating gases from the air, such as nitrogen.
The membrane that separates the gas requires optimal conditions of temperature, pressure and flow to maintain tight nitrogen and oxygen levels. The BSL FCV facilitates this process despite the changing downstream pressures over time as nitrogen is drawn from the system.
