How can I spot a gas leak in my pub cellar?

Spotting gas leak in a pub cellar can be quite tricky for several reasons.

Firstly, gas leaks can be very small and quiet. They may also be hidden behind other equipment, trunking, or walls, making it hard to see all the pipework.

To help with this, BSL offers a simple leak detection system. This system involves looking at the gas flow when the pub should not be using any gas. The leak detector is placed in the mixed gas line after the mixer, with an outlet for each gas line. During non-opening hours, you can monitor the float on the line detector to see if there is still a significant flow. The flow indicates the presence of a leak. This can help you identify the line the leak is in and give you an idea of its significance. Knowing the line enables you to follow it through without wasting effort. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for a datasheet on this unit.
